Hi Shannon and family. What a great idea about sending the message to Oprah. I just sent mine and mentioned it to other people and they also sent off a message. I just feel that with everyone requesting this, it will happen. :) Take Care.

I agree with other visitors who have signed the guestbook recently. If we all send this suggestion to OPrah, she will be bombarded with this topic and flood of e-mails. My son also suffers from this disease, so there are a lot of families that need further research for a cure. Please...please tell everyone you know to do this. http://www.caringbridge.org/wi/thetanners/ Hang in there Meltz family we will hear something soon! We just need to be ther for eachother!

Hello to all.....I am so excited about the whole Oprah thing. I already put in my ideas to the Oprah show. I know we can all make a difference and get Oprah to come to Wisconsin. The power of prayer is abundantly clear. We all pray for the entire Meltz family. Keep the fight and keep the faith. Love to you all!!!!! Jeff

You do not know me, nor will you probably never, but that's o.k., my friend Shanna told me of your little girl's struggle with PLGA and I am looking at her beautiful little picture right now and please know that everyone will tell you to hang in there, it'll be o.k., and so on. I am in no way diminishing that it is important to say uplifting and encouraging things to people, I do all the time. But I also know from my own experience that we may not understand now, nor in the future or maybe not even at all until we see our Lord and Savior face to face, of why things happen to us or our loved ones on earth. You see, I lost my beloved husband, my best friend in the entire world last Christmas to a fatal heart attack. I am a widow at a young age and have three children who will no longer have their dad with them. But we have seen God's amazing grace in all of this and know that I don't need to know why things like this happen only that He does. In the trying days ahead of hospitals, treatments, whatever your precious little Hailey has to endure, know that God truly is with you every single step. I prayed for Hailey on the day of your incredible Oprah experience. I don't believe in coincidences, only in God's timing. You don't have to worry , He has it all figured out. Peace be with you and your family. Brenda Coates

Hello, Congratulations on your Oprah experience. I read some info from Lilly Langbein's site. I follow her progress. I have a 13 year old son who was diagnosed with a Brain Tumor 5/26/06. I emailed Oprah yesterday. I will be praying and hoping that a show will be done and something BIG will happen! We have a different situation and I would be happy to help in any way! If it's ok - I am going to put the info on Matt's Caringbridge site. Good Luck and I will be thinking of Hailey along with TOO many other Brain Tumor patients! I commend you on everything your family has done! Peace, Light & Love - Shari Hernan www.caringbridge.org/visit/matthernan

It is no coincidence that you have "Faith" in your family and no coincindence that Oprah is now in the loop - it is just so awesome to see God work through you and to be so often reminded of what can be accomplished when you combine faith and prayer. And he has promised that when two or more gather in his name great things will happen - perhaps Storming the Heavens for Hailey can be a recurring event - weekly, monthly, etc.? We feel so priveleged to be a part of Team Hailey and so inspired by your incredible courage and all that you are doing. We continue to pray each day for Hailey, that she be blessed with God's healing grace, and for all of you to be given all that you need to deal with the "reality" of this journey. Shannon, I am so happy of your experience on the Oparh show.. How "great is that".I'm sure something will come of it.. Of anybody, she will do something about this... I believe of all the prayer that have been said for your Hailey, this is a "GOD" thing. Something great will happen. If Oparh does a show on this, I hope you put it in your newsletter, as I'm sure that many people will want to see it. Our prayers are with you all.. God Bless and keep up the good and hard work! I admire you both, for all your faith and courage. Mary Sue Tarkowski

Hello, I first want to say how absolutely beautiful Hailey is. You do not know me, but I found your site today through a friend. I could hardly contain myself when I heard that you spoke with Oprah (LIVE) & that she may do a show on your daughter and Pediatric Cancer Awareness. That is so wonderful & I pray that it happens. Our family has been fighting the 'beast' as well for the past 8 months. Our 3.5 year old daughter, Alexa Renee was diagnosed with Clear Cell Sarcoma of the Kidney on June 4th. It is so rare-it affects 20 people in the US annually. Currently, I have only been able to find one other case in Ohio. At MSKCC in NYC, where Alexa is being treated(which is a huge Cancer hospital), they have not seen a case in over 14 years. She just finished her chemotherapy on January 3rd and had her first set of scans on Wednesday since chemo ended. Praise God they were CLEAR! I just wanted to stop by and say excellent job and I hope Oprah contacts you! This will be huge for the Pediatric Cancer World and just what we need! God Bless you and your beautiful family. I will keep up with Hailey's progress as I've signed up for the journal notifications. If you'd like to visit Alexa's site it is: www.caringbridge.org/visit/alexareneemoore *I have everyone I know e-mailing Oprah's producers to say how well needed a show on Ped. Cancer is and not just in September-NOW! Your new friends from New York, Debbie, Tom and Alexa Renee Moore
